Sosol and Sea’s Adjustable and Original Fashion Rings
“Adjustable, elegant fashion rings for every woman’s hand”
A Little Ring Story
According to Chinese culture, the right hand is for giving, and the left hand is for receiving. Wearing a ring on the left hand implies an openness to receiving rather than giving.
Historically, it was also believed that the left ring finger contains a vein directly connected to the heart the “Vein of Love”. Wearing a ring on this finger speaks volumes…
Moreover, the meaning of wearing a ring changes depending on which finger you choose.
Of course, everyone wears rings as they wish but according to tradition, each finger symbolizes different personality traits and intentions.
Sosol and Sea rings are adjustable, so you can wear them on whichever finger matches your mood. 😉
The Pinky Finger (Auricularis)
The pinky is the finger of thought, emotion, and communication: “my little finger tells me.”
-
Wearing a ring on the left pinky signals nostalgia.
-
On the right pinky, it reflects curiosity, dreams, and plans.
Historically, rings on this finger indicated inner conflict. Gifting a pinky ring could signal tension. Fun fact: mafiosi often wear rings here, as did nobles for practical purposes like sealing documents.
The Ring Finger (Annularis)
The classic finger for rings.
-
Left ring finger: symbolizes emotional involvement and romantic commitment. For single women, wearing a fashion ring here sends a subtle message: “my heart is available.” Two rings? She’s seeking love in symbiosis.
-
Right ring finger: shows determination and perseverance.
Caution: wearing rings on both ring fingers might suggest “taken, but still open to possibilities.”
The Middle Finger (Medialis)
The middle finger symbolizes power, sexuality, balance, and justice.
-
Left middle finger: signals self-image issues or a need for recognition.
-
Right middle finger: represents self-confidence and mental organization.
The Index Finger (Indicis)
The index finger symbolizes authority, ambition, and leadership.
-
Left index: submission, possessiveness, jealousy.
-
Right index: dominance, pride, and control.
The Thumb (Pollex)
The thumb represents distinction, individuality, and sometimes rebellion.
-
19th century: symbolized support for feminism.
-
Can also indicate female homosexuality.
-
Left thumb: creativity, imagination, sensuality, and a desire for affection (not necessarily sexual).
-
Right thumb: sexual motivation or desire; wearing a fashion ring here can signal sexual dissatisfaction.

How to Care for Your Rings
During the COVID-19 pandemic, frequent handwashing and sanitizing can affect jewelry. Our rings are brass-based, plated with 24-carat gold or 1000 silver, which are delicate layers sensitive to acid, moisture, sand, chlorine, and alcohol-based gels. These substances can also damage adhesives used for decorative paper or semi-precious stones.
Tips to keep your rings sparkling:
-
Remove rings when washing dishes, swimming, or using hand sanitizer.
-
Occasionally clean with Marseille soap and rinse with clear water.
-
Dry gently with a soft cloth, and your rings will shine like new.
